“Yesterday I visited my nan who is suffering with dementia. It was the worst I’d seen her so far.
Last night in my dreams I tried to put a bird out of its misery. My attempts didn’t work. The bird wanted to live and kept on trying.
This morning, a sparrow landed on the fence. In it’s mouth was a piece of linen - it put the linen down on top of the fence, sat by it for a minute, then flew away.
So I painted, like the bird wanted me to.”
This piece is about listening for small signs from the universe to support you, even when you are feeling troubled.
